Cathy Whitten is on her 3rd week of training and is progressing well. Cathy's goals include increasing lean body mass thereby toning and firming her body. As Cathy does not have much fat to lose, Cathy and Angela have started weight training three days per week, adding in interval training on two other days. CV Fitness' Saturday morning Spin class accounts for one of these sessions. Further, Cathy's program is complimented with the Thursday night Yoga class taught by Glenny Whelan. Cathy had been training herself before starting with the Transformation Event but had been limited to use of machines. As such, she spent the first two weeks adapting to new exercises, increasing the demands on her body slowly and safely. Cathy and Angela's next step is to shock Cathy's body by increasing her weights, dropping the repetitions, and strength training 4 to 5 days a week. Cathy's program will change every couple of weeks to build her muscle mass and then more cardio will be added to cut down adipose tissue and further increase lean muscle tissue. Through dedication and commitment Cathy will excel and reach her goals. Congratulations Cathy and a fantastic start! |
