ULTIMATE CHALLENGE

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in North America followed closely by Cancer. Both are considered lifestyle diseases and are therefore controllable. However, to change habits we must educate, understand and inform on the means to health and to show that it is a possibility for all to live well. The Ultimate Health and Fitness Transformation Challenge advocates for healthy, active living thereby promoting and contributing to positive social and community changes, the prevention of lifestyle diseases and the improvement to quality of life. For three months, local health professionals are collaborating efforts to provide the means to live well for three individuals.

Active living is essential to health. Symmetry Mobile Fitness Services Ltd. and Body Netix have volunteered their services providing the three participants with three months of personal training accumulating over 36 hours. The three trainers, Angela Fletcher, Megan Cofield and Chris Ketch, are working with a participant each and providing them with a progressive, individualized routine and motivation to reach their fitness goals.

Further, Wanda Crowder, certified nutritionist working out of the Comox Wellness Centre, emphasizes the importance of eating healthy. She has supplied the participants with a lifestyle assessment and nutrition guidelines and suggestions based on current lifestyle trends. Working along side Wanda, is Dr Maltais and Gina Goud.

Dr. Lise Maltais is an experienced Naturopathic Physician in practice for 14 years. She specializes in Homeopathy, Bowen Therapeutic Technique and complete health assessments using the EAV biofeedback technique. For the transformation participants, Dr. Maltais is testing food sensitivities. In addition, Goud provides accurate and detailed analyses of problem areas in the physical body including nutritional and hormonal deficiencies identified thru the use of advanced medical biofeedback. Her skills give the participants the ultimate edge to succeed in of others both rapidly and safely through the application of her proven herbal remedies and supplements.
